Rahj Mason After Hours is sure to put a smile on your face as Rahj expresses thoughts, reminisces, introduces us to some of his musical friends as he carries us on a musical escapade.
Known for shows packed with energy & great crowd connection gives him a well-earned reputation in the Downtown music scene of a “MUST SEE” New York experience. He, along with his band the Mash, specialize in blending & improving popular music of various genres/decades. New York Post 2011 article page 6 the article begins “PRINCE has new obsession. “Sources say he’s very taken with the band RAHJ & the MASH, whose slogan is “Everything you’ve ever wanted to hear, the way you’ve never heard it before.” Rahj joined additional friends hosting Rahj and The Mash at the former New York City Club, “The Underground”. His sound is URBAN, RAW, & EDGY. Unadulterated songs about love, loss & the beautiful escape.
RAHJ co-wrote, recorded, produced the album “Graffiti Blue” in 2003 along with Didi Gutman. In 2010 long time friends Taylor McFadden and Brock Parsons co-wrote, produced and released “Burgundy Jonez” his second album featuring the previously recorded single “Fallen” (2008). Also in 2008 came the release of “Acoustic Blast” an acoustic soul EP featuring Rahj on guitar. Recently he and his beautiful wife, Laval S. Bryant, Brooklyn Museum’s Marketing Director joined musical talents creating NOVA.
